Wordpress Plugin: Wordpress TwitterBot

I was looking for a lightweight plugin that could post my blog updates to my Twitter account. I couldn’t find the right one for me so decided to code my own. There are many great Twitter plugins available for Wordpress, but they are all so feature packed and bloated.

Why Use Wordpress Twitterbot?

Here are the features of Wordpress Twitterbot:

• Any post you make will be tweeted to your Twitter account
• Future scheduled posts will not be tweeted until they are live
• Links are passed through TinyURL, to reduce the URL siz
• Ability to turn off the tweet feature on a per-post setting
• Tweet about an updated post (optional)
• Prefixes of “New Post” and “Updated Post” are customisable through the options panel
• Updated to work with Wordpress 2.7
