Have you gone through every line and double-checked it all? You can’t just copy and paste the whole code. You need to tweak it to your own needs.

Ensure your backup directory definitely exists and that you have enabled ssh access.

This didn’t work for me – I just get a blinking cursor when the script gets to the final line (when it is supposed to prompt me for a password). I checked 3 or 4 times to make sure I had all my directories and info set up properly.
